I Want I Need
Spoiler Alert - Hong Kong
This publication was made during my semester abroad in Hong Kong. This publication is a photographic journal of my time during my stay in Hong Kong. It features many different photographic elements from the start of my trip to the end. The title "Spoiler Alert" came from the journal showing Hong Kong, therefore spoiling some things you would see before being there. The truth is the publication doesn't spoil what it is like to actually be in Hong Kong, if anything it inspires you to go there.
Fusion Run is a collaborative effort from myself and Paul Downes about nuclear power, sustainability and the risks associated with it. The game is designed to raise awareness of the risks surrounding emerging energy sources, and encourage diligence and sustainable practices to prevent disasters in future. The art of strokes
The Art of Strokes is a publication made during my study aboard semester in Hong Kong. The publication explores four different production methods for typography:
Chinese Calligraphy, Letterpress, Stencil Lettering & Digital Typeface
Although in today’s digitised world most typefaces and fonts are created in front of a computer, traditional forms of creating a typeface have not disappeared. Hong Kong offers a variety of traditional lettering, using expressive brush strokes that not only serve a purpose, but deliver a story.
10 ways to be an unsustainable designer, is a publication listing unsustainable practices every designer should learn, such as wasting energy and using unfriendly materials. This book features built in interactive electronics, specifically a Raspberry Pi connected to a screen, the pages have been laser cut accurately and as you turn each page it reveals more of the screen.
RSA Fair Share
Remember when you were little and sharing was simpler, when you didn't have to sign up to anything or tap your screens? Technology has replaced much of the instinctual behaviour we practiced as children but this doesn't have to be the case.
Just a couple of minutes ago you were strangers and without you these would just be some pieces of plastic. Just like these pieces, everything is made better by sharing; in coming together we can create bigger, better and fairer.
